Golden Sazerac

Main Spirit Absinthe
Difficulty Easy
Technique Stirred

Obviously the Golden Sazerac is a riff on a classic Sazerac, the official cocktail of New Orleans. Created by iconic bartender Giuseppe González, the drink swaps out Rye for Cognac, Simple Syrup for Golden Syrup and ups the bitters ratio.

“Escaping to a mate’s Creole cottage for a riff on the most New Orleans of drinks, Vanessa contemplated that sometimes the simplest changes can have the most impact. A change of location, a change of ingredients, a change of pace had all lead her to see the city through a new lense.”
