We all know that non-alcoholic drinks are becoming more and more popular. Still, iconic bartender Derek Brown takes the sober cocktail one step further with the incorporation of a ‘functional’ ingredient.
Brown, the author of Mindful Mixology, has partnered with wellness company Natural Vitality and its product Calm Magnesium to create a series of Calm Magnesium CALMtails.
To show us what he’s done, Brown demonstrates how to make his Rent is Way Too Highball cocktail, with Calm Magnesium Cherry, Sour Cherry Juice, Lime Juice and Ginger beer.
He also discusses the rise of non-alcoholic drinks, the process of creating flavorful non-alcoholic cocktails and the future of functional ingredients in cocktails.
