Transforming Van Gogh's Sunflowers Into A Cocktail With Italicus

Make the cocktail that UK finalist Brandon Stead will present next week at the global finals of The Art Of Italicus

By: Tiff Christie|May 4,2024

With the Global finals of The Art Of Italicus competition set to take place next week in Rome, we join Brandon Stead, the UK finalist, as he makes his entry cocktail, Vincent And Gallo.

Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s still life series, Sunflowers, the drink mixes Italicus with a homemade clarified sunflower seed orgeat, IPA, Soda Water and Absinthe.

Stead takes us through how he makes the drink, discusses his inspiration for the ingredients he uses, and gives advice to anyone creating a cocktail for competition.
