Tea & Biscuits Flip

Inspired by the Indian tradition of having tea and cookies after a long workday, the Tea & Biscuit Flip was created at Saffron in New Orleans. The Cognac and Chai work beautifully together and are enhanced by the lemon Juice, Orgeat, Cardamom Syrup and whole Egg.

“When a bartender friend, Ivan, had said he had an idea to help her improve her cocktail game, Vanessa had not imagined meeting in a tea emporium. But the longer she stayed and the more flavours she experienced, the more she realised that her pride in making a simple syrup from Chai was, by comparison, relatively small fry.”

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. 45ml Hennessy VS Cognac
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Chai Syrup
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Lemon Juice
  • 0.25 oz. 8ml Orgeat
  • 3 drop 3 drop Cardamom Bitters
  • 1 1 Whole Egg
Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a shaker (without ice) and dry shake. Add ice and shake again to chill. Strain into a chilled glass
