Pear Sour

Pear might not be the obvious choice for fall flavour, but Pear Brandy is very much a harbinger of the season. The foundation of the Pear Sour, the Brandy and Pear Juice gives a big pear flavour, while the lemon adds tartness and the simple syrup adds the right amount of sweetness.

“Since Juan (Vanessa’s faithful PA) went off to further explore the avian population of upstate New York with the ranger, Vanessa decided to play around with a few Fall cocktail ideas. As she measured out the lemon Juice she realised that while you can take the girl out of the bar, but you can’t so easily take the bar out of the girl.”


  • 2 oz. 60ml Pear Brandy
  • 2 oz. 60ml Pear Juice
  • 0.75 oz. 23ml Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Simple Syrup
  • 1 1 Egg White
Display: oz. ml.




Shaker all ingredients with ice and then strain into a coupe glass.
