Obviously the Golden Sazerac is a riff on a classic Sazerac, the official cocktail of New Orleans. Created by iconic bartender Giuseppe González, the drink swaps out Rye for Cognac, Simple Syrup for Golden Syrup and ups the bitters ratio.

Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discarding any excess, and set aside. Add the cognac, syrup and bitters to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled. Strain into the prepared rocks glass.
