A twist on the classic Vieux Carré,  the Vieille Place is a balanced, yet spirit-forward, bittersweet aperitif. Created by Robbie Neskens at Bruut in Hassselt , Belgium, this drink incorporates Bourbon, Suze, Cognac, Dry Vermouth, Simple Syrup, a dash of Amaretto, aswell as both a dash of Peychard & Angostura Bitters.


  • 0.84 oz. 25ml Bourbon
  • 0.84 oz. 25ml Cognac
  • 0.67 oz. 20ml Suze
  • 0.67 oz. 20ml Dry Vermouth
  • 0.17 oz. 5ml Amaretto Liqueur
  • 0.34 oz. 10ml Simple Syrup
  • dash dash Peychard's Bitters
  • dash dash Angostura Bitters
Display: oz. ml.


Strain all ingredients with ice and strain into an ice-filled glass
