There was never such a set of distinguished writers than those that sat around the Algonquin Round Table. Although they mainly drank Martinis, they also indulged in the hotel’s namesake drink with Rye, Dry Vermouth, Pineapple Juice and Honey Syrup.


  • 1.5 oz. 45ml Whiskey, Rye
  • 0.75 oz. 23ml Vermouth, Dry
  • 0.75 oz. 23ml Pineapple Juice
  • 0.25 oz. 8ml Honey Syrup
Display: oz. ml.




Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker, then strain into a chilled coupe glass.



More About This Drink

As you might assume, the Algonquin Round Table was in the Algonquin Hotel in New York and those that sat around it included Dorothy Parker, Harold Ross and Robert Benchley to name but a few.
