With a garden-to-glass approach, the new menu at Cause & Effect Bar, Cape Town, has used cocktails to highlight four of the bar’s main producers. The Morgenhof utilises the bar’s red wine cordial sourced from the Stellenbosch wine estate of the same name, which has prioritised the maintenance of its environment.


  • 1.69 oz. 51ml Red Wine Cordial (Cause & Effect Bar)
  • 1.69 oz. 51ml Vodka (Cause & Effect Bar)
  • 2 dash oz. 60ml Hibiscus Artemisia Bitters
  • 2 dash 2 dash Oxenstierna Bitters
Display: oz. ml.




Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a rocks glass with ice


Expressed Orange rind & Grated Tonka Bean (served in a light-up peacock)
