Winning 20 out of 21 races during the season in 1919-1920, Man O’ War was considered one of the greatest racing horses to ever live. Therefore it’s only fitting that the drink that bears his name is also outstanding with Bourbon, Cointreau, Sweet Vermouth, Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. 45ml Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Cointreau
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 0.33 oz. 10ml Lemon Juice
  • 0.169 oz. 5ml Simple Syrup
Display: oz. ml.

Shake all ingredients with ice ad fine strain into a chilled glass

Maraschino Cherry

More about this drink

Although it is unclear who invented the drink, it is believed to have been invented in the mid-20th Century. At that time, 1oz of Cointreau and 0.5oz of Lemon Juice were used.
