If you are looking for a hangover cure, there is none better than a little hair-of-the-dog. So, go to an after-party or set one up in the backyard, and mix up a glass of Betty Is Back. Created in the 1940s at the Connaught Bar, and mixes Aperol, a little Elderflower Liqueur and Champagne for a dry, bubbly drink with floral and citrus notes. But who is Betty? She can be anyone or anything you want …

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Aperol
  • barspoon barspoon St Germain
  • barspoon barspoon Lemon Juice
  • 3.5 oz. 105ml Champagne
Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Stir all ingredients, except the Champagne, in an ice-filled mixing glass. Strain into a flute and gently pour in the Champagne.
