If you adore an Old Fashioned but want to make it a little more cosy, then a Warm Old Fashioned would be the way to go. Its set-up is pretty much what you’d expect from an Old Fashioned … Bourbon, sugar cube, Orange Slice and a Maraschino Cherry, but this one adds a splash of Soda Water and, of course, hot water.

Ingredients

2 oz. 60ml Widow Jane Bourbon 13 Year
1 1 India Tree Rough Cut White Sugar Cubes
3 dash 3 dash Woodford Reserve Aromatic Bitters
2 slice 2 slice Orange Slices
2 2 Luxardo Maraschino Cherries (divided)
splash splash Fever-Tree Club Soda (Soda Water)
2 oz. 60ml Hot Water

Instructions

Place a sugar cube in the bottom of an old-fashioned glass and saturate with bitters. Add one orange slice, a cherry, and a splash of soda. Muddle thoroughly. Remove the fruit remnants. Add the bourbon and finish it off with warm water.
