Americano

The Americano is based on the old 19th-century Italian cocktail Milano-Torino, which is basically a mix of Campari and Rosso Vermouth. As the story goes, when Americans visited Italy during Prohibition, they often asked for the drink to be watered down with Mineral or Soda Water, so the locals nicknamed it the Americano.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. 45ml Campari
  • 1.5 oz. 45ml Rosso Vermouth
  • 2 oz. 60ml Soda (or Mineral) Water
Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Stir Campari and Vermouth in an ice-filled mixing glass, then strain into a chilled glass with fresh ice and top with Soda or Mineral water
