Penicillin Hot Toddy

When Sam Ross created the modern classic cocktail Penicillin, he probably never imagined that twenty years later, we’d be drinking it hot. But here we are—and it’s a good thing, too, as the whiskey, honey, lemon juice, and ginger all scream Hot Toddy.

Ingredients

2 oz. 60ml Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky
0.75 oz. 23ml Lemon Juice
0.75 oz. 23ml Tiptree Pure Clear Honey (mini)
tsp tsp Oban 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
4 oz. 120ml Boiling Water
2 2 Organic Ginger (1" rounds, 1/4" thick)

Instructions

In a mug, combine the Ginger, Honey, and Lemon juice, then muddle. Pour the boiling hot water into the mug. Allow to sit for 5 minutes, then stir in the Scotches. If desired, remove the ginger.
