Discovering forgotten cocktails sometimes requires a little tweaking, but with the 100-year-old I.B.F. Pick-Me-Up, only a slight bump up in the quantity of Cointreau was needed when Seattle bartender Zac Overman mixed it up with the addition of Cognac Fernet and Champagne.
Stir all the ingredients, except for the sparkling wine, in an ice-filled mixing glass, then strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass and top with crémant de Loire.
