Bobby Burns

Difficulty Easy
Technique Stirred

Named after the Scottish poet, Robert Burns, the Bobby Burns Cocktail had a wonderful mix of Scotch, Vermouth & Benedictine. A riff on the Rob Roy (which is, itself, a riff on a Manhattan), this cocktail is set apart by the addition of herbal Bénédictine, which turns it into a wonderfully full-bodied digestif-style drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. 30ml Scotch Whisky
  • 1 oz. 30ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 0.5 oz. 15ml Benedictine
Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir, and strain into a cocktail glass. Twist a lemon peel over the glass to release its oils

Garnish

Lemon peel
