Love a Paper Plane cocktail? Well, maybe it’s time to upgrade to a Private Plane – an Aperol riff created by bartender Baylee Hopings from Bon Ton in Atlanta.
With a slightly nutty flavour, the Private Plane incorporates the Aperol, Bourbon & Lemon Juice of the original but swaps out the Amaro for Yellow Chartreuse and Amontillado Sherry.
Created by Hoping as part of the US National Speed Rack competition final, this is a cocktail that blends flavour and balance with a certain private plane-style sophistication.

Ingredients
- 0.75oz Bourbon
- 0.75oz Yellow Chartreuse
- 0.75oz Aperol
- 0.5oz Amontillado Sherry
- 0.5oz Lemon Juice

Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled shaker, then fine strain into a chilled glass
