Acclaimed London bar Three Sheets is set to open a second venue in Soho this March.
The multi-award-winning cocktail bar in Dalston, in London’s East End, has been recognised on lists such as The World’s 50 Best and Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
Under the stewardship of Max & Noel Venning, Three Sheets offers a clean and elegant yet complex cocktail style, presented in a cosy, neighbourhood bar atmosphere.
The brothers Venning will take this same format of classic hospitality to the brand’s new Soho location. The venue will be open all day, from morning coffee and pastries through to lunch and into aperitif, dinner and night-caps.
The drinks menu will be largely unique to Soho whilst still mirroring the Three Sheets signature style and will include:
- “French 75” – Gin – Clarified Lemon – Moscato – Orange Flower – Verjus – Carbonated
- Mango Ice Tea – Pickled Mango – Cloud & Lapsang Teas – Rum
- Scottish Coffee – Buttered Scotch – Salted Coffee – Shortbread Cream
There will be a concise and confident wine list, with both classic, bold French reds to young, juicy whites, as well as a focus on Champagnes, with around six being served by the glass from well-known and smaller, independent houses.
To accompany the wines and cocktails, ex-Lyle’s chef and butcher William Blank has developed a menu of dishes that capture the nostalgia of British classics, such as salt beef sandwiches, croquettes, triple-cooked chips and fresh oysters. A breakfast menu will be available from morning until noon, using local artisanal pastries and Dead Good coffee.
The bar will be warm and cosy, with dark undertones and curved lines. Hand-upholstered dark-green leather curved banquettes will sit right of the centrepiece Calacatta marble-topped bar with leather-upholstered stools.
Towards the back of the bar, an original skylight will be positioned overhead the intimate round tables, and a fully retractable facade will open up onto the street during the summer months.
