The International Wines & Spirits Competition has announced the Trophy Winners in each of the five categories of whisky from the 2020 spirits judging.
The winners were selected from the Gold Medalists in each category and are the “best of the best” of this year’s entrants.
The winner of the Bourbon Trophy was Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey, 1820 Single Barrel Whiskey, 11 YO.
The Worldwide Whisky Trophy was awarded to a German company, Unique Liquids, for their Westfalian Peated 6 YO Single Malt Whisky.
The Glory Leading Whisky Company, a Taiwanese company, won the trophy for Blended Whisky for its Glory Leading 1972 45 YO Blended Scotch Whisky.
The Trophy for Single Malt Whisky – 25 Years and Under, went to the South African beverage giant Distell for the Bunnahabhain 25 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
William Grant & Sons, Glenfiddich 40 YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky won the trophy for Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 26 Years and Over.
