HORNITOS WANTS TO SAVE YOU FROM BAD WHITE ELEPHANT GIFTS

December 13,2022

Global Tequila brand Hornitos wants to save your festive season by initiating a bad white elephant gift exchange.

Starting Monday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, holiday partygoers (ages 21+) can visit the virtual Hornitos Green Elephant Shop to submit photos of their lacklustre white elephant gift for a chance to receive cold, hard cash* (*in the form of an e-gift card)!

Fans can upload an image of their precarious present for a chance to receive a $25 e-gift card, enabling them to purchase something that adds a little more spirit to their holiday season, like a bottle of great tequila!

To help spread more cheer, Hornitos teamed up with the hilarious TonyTalks to serve as the honorary virtual “shopkeeper,” helping turn this year’s white elephant disasters into the dough. In his latest post, the aspiring actor uses original characters and creative editing to bring his comedic genius to relatable white elephant gifting experiences.

“As someone who has received a bad white elephant gift or two, I was all in to help Hornitos give people the chance to swap presents that say ‘no, no, no’ for something that will have them saying, ‘ho, ho, Hornitos,’” said Antonio Baldwin, aka TonyTalks. “There’s no reason that anyone should be stuck with a horrible present for the holidays.”

“As a brand rooted in a boundary-pushing mindset, we are pumped to launch this campaign – there’s nothing bolder than replacing useless presents with money, something everyone needs this holiday season,” said Andrew Eis, Senior Marketing Director, Global Tequila at Beam Suntory.

“Pushing the envelope even further, TonyTalks truly brings our Green Elephant Shop to life with his spirited and hilarious skit that his followers and our tequila fans can totally relate to, and in turn, possibly make their holidays a little greener with our collaboration.

To have a chance to be part of the exchange, go to Hornitos Green Elephant Shop beginning 12/26 for a chance to get that money! Fans can also see Tony’s own White Elephant gift disasters directly on Instagram @IAmTonyTalks.

BACARDI CELEBRATES 161 YEARS WITH A GIFT TO THE PLANET

February 3,2023

Family-owned Bacardi Limited is celebrating its 161st anniversary by planting one tree for every employee to support biodiversity, help local communities, and capture a combined 2.5M kg of CO2 during the trees’ lifetime.

The initiative forms part of Bacardi’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) program, that seeks to restore communities, revitalize natural ecosystems, and revolutionize the way the brand does business.

“As a family-owned company, doing the right thing is in our DNA, and all of us at Bacardi share that passion for taking care of the environment,” said Bacardi Limited CEO Mahesh Madhavan.

“By creating our very own Bacardi forests, we can all take pride in having our own positive impact and being part of our company’s legacy for the next 161 years and beyond.”

The trees will be planted in India, Nepal, Indonesia, Ecuador, and Madagascar, with 11 different species carefully selected to maximize the benefits to each location and community. The planting sites represent areas where Bacardi sources some of the botanicals and raw ingredients.

“We care deeply about the farmers who grow our beautiful ingredients and take great pride in the strong relationships we’ve spent decades building with these communities,” says Dave Ingram, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Bacardi Limited. “Planting these trees on their doorsteps is another way of giving back as we invest in their future and in protecting the environment for generations to come.”

Additionally, the brand will also plant 161 coconut trees in Puerto Rico, where Bacardí rum is produced. These plantings will pay homage to the company’s legendary coconut palm, ‘El Coco’, which was planted in front of the first BACARDÍ distillery in Cuba, to symbolize the strength and resilience of the Bacardi company.

In Bermuda, home of the Bacardi Limited global headquarters, the company will plant 100 cedar saplings to supports biodiversity by providing a crucial nesting site for birds such as the native Bluebird.

On February 4, 2023, Bacardi celebrates 161 years since Don Facundo Bacardí Massó founded the company in Santiago de Cuba. Family owned, over seven generations, Bacardi grew from a single rum brand to a portfolio of iconic global spirits brands.

SEAGRAM'S 7 & ILIZA SHLESINGER CELEBRATE 'IT'S YOUR SPOT'

January 31,2023

American Blended Whiskey brand Seagram’s 7 has joined with comedian Iliza Shlesinger again, this time to raise a 7 & 7 toast to drinking spots across the country.

The new “It’s Your Spot” campaign has been inspired by dive bar regulars and how they have transformed their spaces into local staples over the years and become the centrepiece of great memories.

With one of the new videos entitled “Football”, the campaign is looking to highlight the uniqueness of unofficial drinking spots, like an old garage filled with football memorabilia, and that in those spaces, Seagram’s 7 is a drink perfect for a variety of occasions.

“Sometimes the best things in life can be pretty unconventional,” said Iliza Shlesinger, Seagram’s 7 Brand Partner. “The thing I love most about Seagram’s 7 is that you don’t need all of the bells and whistles to make an amazing cocktail while making equally amazing memories. As long as you’re with great company, the rest will fall into place.”

Shlesinger has previously partnered with the brand for its National Dive Bar Day campaigns. In 2021, the comedian fronted the “Keep the Dive Alive” campaign, where the brand celebrated dive bar regulars.

“We love how this new campaign is a celebration of all the special off-premise spots that have extraordinary meaning to those ‘Regulars’ who know,” said Dina Krannich, Senior Brand Manager of Seagram’s 7. “These spots pull together elements that connect to the feeling of being back in our regular bars we know and love.”
