If you’ve been missing fantasy, vibrancy and a little bit of fun, then it’s definitely time for Tiki.
But as Raymond Sakover from New York bar Paradise Lost will point out, that sense of fun is mixed with some serious drinks, with serious flavour and complexity.
To highlight this point, Sakover makes one of the bar’s favourite drinks for us, the Seventh Circke Swizzle.
A mix of Rum, Falernum, Pineapple Juice and the bar’s dynamic Seventh Batch, the drink brings a herbaceous edge to the expected tropical elements.

Seventh Circle Swizzle
Ingredients
2 dashes Holmes Cay Réunion Island Grand Arôme Rum
2 tsp Orgeat Works Falernum Syrup
0.5oz Lemon
1oz Pineapple Juice
1.5 oz Seventh Batch (0.25 oz Clear Creek Pear Eau de Vie, 0.5oz Goslings 151, 0.75oz Strega)
Garnish – Pineapple Half Moon, 2 Pineapple Fronds, Pitchfork Swizzle
Instructions
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, then either swizzle or mix the liquid with a drink mixer, then pour into a chilled glass with pebble ice. Add more ice and garnish.
