Kings Cross based Bohemian bar, Dulcie’s has celebrated its third birthday with the release of its first gin expression, Darling Gin.
Created in collaboration with Mobius Distillery, the gin has been designed as a bartender’s gin to work in gin-forward drinks like the Martini and other classic gin cocktails.
Bottled at 44% (which is the street number along Darlinghurst Rd where the bar is located), the gin offers a different approach.
“This gin may not be for everyone but we wanted to create a spirit that showed that gin does always need to be delicate,” said owner, Brandon Martignago. “It’s a gin that sings, no matter what drink it’s in, due to its bolder, gourmatic flavours, with smoky, oily undertones.
Reflecting the nature of the street after which its named, the Darling Gin has been made in a London Dry style with Elderflower, Lavender, fresh Orange peel, Macadamia and Cardamom.
