Scotch Whiskey brand Haig Club has released its first flavour extension, a new orange-flavoured spirit drink to attract non-whisky drinkers.

the brands co-owner David Beckham said: “Myself and the Haig Club team are continually looking at ways to engage and adopt new consumers to the brand. Developing Haig Club Mediterranean Orange has been in the works for some time now and I’ve enjoyed helping select the final liquid.

“The orange perfectly complements the signature Scotch notes of Haig Club and it’s a great long drink for summer, ” he continued.

Offering a ‘fresh and juicy’ marmalade orange flavour, infused with orange blossom extract and Haig Club’s signature Scotch whisky notes, the brand recommends that the Mediterranean Orange be enjoyed with Fever-Tree lemonade, ice and oranges.

Tapping into the growing early evening and aperitivo occasions, Haig hopes the expression will provide an ‘accessible option’ for both whisky fans and non-whisky drinkers alike. Bottled at 35% ABV, Haig Mediterranean Orange will be available from mid-April across the UK.

Irish Whiskey brand, Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey has announced announced an addition to its portfolio with the release of Irish Apple.

Founded by MMA champion Conor McGregor and co-founders Audie Attar and Ken Austin, the brand is looking to continue to disrupt the industry with this expression which has tasting notes of warm caramel, oak, and browned butter, all ending with a proper smooth finish.

THE MACALLAN SENDS RARE BOTTLE TO AUCTION FOR CHARITY

Global Scottish whisky brand The Macallan has partnered with Sotherby’s to auction a limited edition bottle from The Macallan’s recent release of Distil Your World New York.

Created to capture the essence of one of the most iconic cities in the world, Distil Your World New York Single Cask Edition includes a striking blue presentation box featuring an engraved aerial map of New York, a booklet about the bottle and Distil Your World New York series that is signed by the talent featured in the Distil Your World New York documentary that aired with the release of the original bottle, and a dining experience at El Celler de Can Roca for the lucky collector and three guests.

The auction offers collectors the only, rare opportunity to acquire one of two bottles created of this limited edition whisky, as the second bottle will be kept in The Macallan archive.Estimated at $30,000 – $80,000, the extraordinary multi-component lot welcomes bids until Friday, February 10th.
