Italian Vermouth brand Cucielo has expanded its collection with the launch of a Dry Vermouth di Torino that has been crafted to capture the essence of ‘Golden Hour’ and Italian Aperitivo Culture.

With crisp notes of fresh Sicilian citrus, complemented by a light yet herbal bitterness, the brand’s Dry Vermouth di Torino has been designed to highlight the most iconic of aperitif cocktails, the Martini.

Sean “Diddy” Combs and Cîroc has unveiled the 15th flavoured release from the music and media mogul and the Diageo-owned brand, Cîroc Passion.

Inspired by Diddy’s personal philosophy of doing something passionately, or don’t do it at all, this innovation is his most ambitious passion project to date. The release of Cîroc Passion is the result of over two years of experimentation and development between Combs and Diageo to perfect the liquid, finetune the bottle design, and craft signature cocktails.

Combs spearheaded each aspect of the process in collaboration with Cîroc, from leading creative and product design to shaping product packaging and guiding marketing efforts.

A DE FUSSIGNY UNVEILS 2050 ORGANIC COGNAC IN PLANT-BASED BOTTLE

French Cognac producer A de Fussigny has unveiled 2050 Organic Cognac in a plant-based, biodegradable bottle. The release is part of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) commitment that the house has been pursuing for several years.

Created by French start-up Green Gen Technologies, the A de Fussigny 2050 Organic Cognac bottle combines locally sourced flax linen fibres and bio-sourced resin to create a solid, waterproof bottle shell. The cognac, however, is in contact with a food-grade RPET liner. The bottle weighs in at 85g, compared to 700g to 1kg for a traditional spirits bottle.

“We are proud to be the first to use the Green Gen Bottle which is not only very resistant but also 10 times lighter than a traditional bottle,” said Thomas Gonon, president of Maison A de Fussigny. “In terms of carbon footprint, we aim to be one of the lowest solutions for greenhouse gas emissions.”

Linen fibre is known for its resistant and lightweight properties. France is the world’s leading producer of flax plants, which do not involve water-intensive agriculture to grow.

“We are on an initial production of 5,000 bottles, and we are not imposing any exclusivity on it so that it can be developed widely in the market,” added Gonon. “For us, this bottle is one of tomorrow’s premium packaging solutions for wine and spirits. On the consumer side, it is a material to be discovered by its texture, shaking up traditional codes of the bottle and adding a new dimension to the Cognac experience.”

A de Fussigny’s 2050 Organic Cognac is made from Eaux-de-Vie from organic farms and aged in French oak barrels.

MALFY GIN RELEASES ITS FIRST RTDs

Italian Gin brand Malfy, has released two RTD flavours that will be trialled in select markets this month.

Malfy Con Limone Gin & Tonica and Malfy Rosa Gin & Tonica will launch in Austria first, to be followed by Australia and New Zealand.

“As consumer demand for convenience continues, we are delighted to be launching a .. super-premium ready-to-drink option for those looking for a sophisticated drinking experience without the effort,” said Malfy’s global brand director, Toni Ingram.

Botted at 7% ABV, both RTDs will use Malfy Gin as the base, with the Malfy Con Limone Gin & Tonica adding limoncello and natural mint flavours, while the Malfy Rosa Gin & Tonica will feature a hint of natural rosemary.
