Bacardi in the US is looking to counter the popularity of hard seltzer with a range of canned premixed rum RTD cocktails.

The Ready-To-Drink range comes in three flavours – Lime & Soda, Limon and Lemonade and Rum Punch.

Offering the same ease and convenience as a hard seltzer, the range offers a little more kick with an ABV of 5.9%.

Unlike other RTDS, Bacardí Real Rum Cocktails are not malt beverages. They are gluten-free rum cocktails made with real ingredients like cane sugar and natural flavours.

Promoting the drinks as outdoor-drinking-worthy, the brand describes the products as always refreshing, with the Lime & Soda having aromas of lime zest and bright citrus notes with bubbly soda water. The Limon & Lemonade is said to blend bold lemon with hints of lime and grapefruit and sweet and tart lemonade and the Rum Punch as having a blend of fresh pineapple, sweet orange, and ripe mango with a hint of passionfruit.

The UK’s Hawkridge Distillers has announced the launch of its debut premium whisky, made in partnership with the renowned Berkshire-based celebrity chef, Alain Roux.

Aged in oak bourbon barrels, the Single Malt is imbued with honeyed sweetness, toasted oak, and a hint of orchard fruits.
