If you truly want to be socially distanced, then try drinking with Hendrick’s hundreds of feet in the air. From next month Sydneysiders will be able to take a gin flight, literally, by booking a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the gin brand’s Most Unusual Balloon Bar.
Hendricks, who are known for their desire to create unusual experiences, have decided the sky is the limit by turned an actual hot air balloon into a floating, flying gin bar.
But if you are in Sydney and want to escape into the skies, be aware that The Most Unusual Balloon Bar is available for two days only. Bookings are free and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Taking off from Darling Harbour, you will enjoy Hendrick’s world-famous gin and a hamper of Hendrick’s-themed goodies, as well as the sort of spectacular views that sailing at over 170 cucumbers high can gain you.
“We have gone above and beyond to bring Sydneysiders a spectacular from the street to the sky in the most unusual style,” said Hendrick’s brand ambassador Luke Sanderson.
The Most Unusual Balloon Bar makes its maiden voyage on Saturday, December 5, and will be open for one day only between 3 pm and 9 pm. gin-lovers, you wouldn’t want to miss this free and floating opportunity for anything else in the world.
If heights aren’t your thing, Hendrick’s will also be hosting a Cucumber Bar anchored in Tumbalong Park, where guests can swoop in for a bespoke ‘Tini Martini’ and complimentary beverages from some of Sydney’s best bars, including PS40, Helm Bar, The Barbershop, Cafe Del Mar, Planar, Prince of York, The Swinging Cat, and The Sofitel’s Champagne Bar.
