A sublimely smooth and truly creamily variation on the original, the Young Grasshopper was created by Yael Vengroff at Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles. Alongside the Crème de Cacao and heavy cream of the original, this drink uses the non-green Menthe de Pastille Creme de Menthe and a good dose of Rum.
Blend the first 4 ingredients with crushed ice. Pour into a glass, then add a float of green tea ice cream.
