If the thought of a cocktail that combines Tequila, Red Wine, and Prosecco makes your heart flutter, then the Plata Spritz will be your new love. Not that it probably happens often, but making the red wine syrup with any leftover red wine is really simple and you’ll never regret adding it to the Plata Tequila, Grapefruit Juice, Prosecco and Soda Water.
Add all of the ingredients to a wine glass filled with ice and stir.
Grapefruit Twist and 2 Slices of Strawberry
Red Wine Syrup – Add 1 ½ cups of red wine to a small saucepan with 4oz sugar, 1oz orange juice and orange peels. Bring to boil, stir until dissolved and then reduce to a low simmer. Let wine reduce (uncovered for approximately 25 minutes), stirring occasionally. Then remove from heat, then cool and strain. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
