The best-known Alexander is the Brandy Alexander, but if you go back, the first Alexander was actually made with Gin. Referred to simply as the Alexander (or occasionally as the Alexander no. 1), the Gin Alexander is a simple but compelling mix of Gin, Creme de Cacao and heavy Cream.
