Using the iconic Mai Tai as inspiration, the Mai Sha Roa Na swaps in Banana Liqueur for the original Orange Liqueur and Macadamia Nut Syrup instead of Orgeat. Created by Anthony Schmidt at San Diego’s False Idol, this drink is a tasty riff that will make the Tiki gods proud.

Ingredients

2 oz. 60ml Wray & Nephew Overproof Jamaican Rum
0.5 oz. 15ml Banana Liqueur
0.5 oz. 15ml Macadamia Nut Syrup
0.75 oz. 23ml Lime Juice

Display: oz. ml.

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add 1½ cups cracked or crushed ice and shake briefly (two or three shakes). Pour into a double rocks glass.
