New On The Bar - Young Blood Cocktail

If you didn’t already know, the Young Blood cocktail is here to show that a single malt Scotch can, in fact, play very nicely in a cocktail

By: Tiff Christie|December 22,2022

Most of us believe that a single malt Scotch Whisky can only be drunk neat, but the Young Blood cocktail has been designed to turn that idea on its head.

As Cory O’Brien-Pniewski from Dead Rabbit in New York points out, Aberfeldy 12 has some nice floral and citrusy honey-ed notes to it that can play really well in a cocktail.

To accentuate those notes and allow them to shine, O’Brien-Pniewski paired the Whisky with Blood Orange Juice and Lemon Juice, as well as Italicus (which is a Bergamot Liqueur).

A bright, dry, citrus-forward drink, the Young Blood showcases how well Aberfeldy can work with bold flavours and still stand out
