It’s not often that the terms ‘easy to replicate’ and ‘innovative’ go hand-in-hand, but that has been the reaction to the cocktail ‘Teal’ by Sydney bartender Harrison Kenney.
The drink, which is as vivid as its name has won Kenney a chance to represent Australia in the Patrón Perfectionist finals next year in Mexico. Kenney, who works at the small but mighty Agave temple, Cantina OK, believes that the drink’s appeal is due to the grassy top notes of the drink’s hero ingredient Patrón Silver.
In addition to the Tequila, the drink mixes Kiwi slices, Celery Juice, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup & Fino Sherry.
With a truly show-stopping garnish of Vanilla Olive Oil drops, the drink is complex enough for tequila connoisseurs, but also bright and easily drinkable for those just starting their agave journey.
