Leading Australian quaffing Vermouth Regal Rogue is celebrating its tenth birthday this year, with the launch of four new signature serves alongside a charity initiative.
Using the same mantra that the brand launched in 2011, of ‘Fearlessly Handcrafted’, Regal Rogue is turning the classic Americano cocktail on its head for 2021, with the creation of The Australiano.
Unlike the original, the new signature serves are vermouth forward, yet through its adaptable nature, provides a rogues gallery of possibilities.
Whether you choose to use Bold Red, Lively White, Wild Rosé or Daring Dry, these Vermouths are simply combined with a modifier, soda water and garnished with seasonal fruit and botanicals.
To salute the past ten years and look forward to the next ten, Regal Rogue has launched a Rogue Community Fund, pledging $1AUS from every Australiano serve sold in the UK, Australia and US.
The brand will use the money to give back and invest in the future of the pillars which are key to Regal Rogue’s success; organic practices, sustainability, wild botanicals and rediscovering lost knowledge, handcraft skills and methods.
From June 2021 to June 2022, all funds will be invested back into access to Australian superfoods in Indigenous communities.
For every $125 raised, Regal Rogue will be able to fund 1 person with a 3- month supply of a unique blend of nutritional Australian wild superfoods ‘LIFE’ to Indigenous communities across Australia.
This nutritional support, created by Vic Cherikoff, contains a unique blend of 14 wild foods and 9 essential oils, including Illawarra plum, rainforest lime, Kakadu (Kalari) plum, wild rosella and more and is known to assist with common health problems and ailments, improving overall health.
On the launch of The Australiano, Regal Rogue founder Mark Ward sums up the new initiative. “After 10 years of turning vermouth upside down, we decided to focus on the Americano and give it the Rogue twist to launch a new Aperitif to the world as ‘The Australiano’.
“It also gave us an opportunity to find a way to give back to the indigenous community of Australia as a thank you for 10 years of native botanicals,” Ward continued. “I will be toasting every customer, bartender and consumer as a thank you for the last 10 years and toast to the next 10 years.”
The Australiano is currently available from Cin Cin bars in the UK (London and Brighton) and will be supported by Regal Rogue’s UK distributor, Liana Collection, in 2021. they are also inviting on-trade accounts to create their own bespoke Australiano using local ingredients.
The brand’s suggested Australiano serves are as follows:
