While your hand may not necessarily instinctively reach for a bottle of Tequila during this festive season, these recipes from Tequila Partida can easily show you that perhaps you should.
Not just good for a Margarita, Tequila is dynamic enough to easily pair with a variety of flavours, no matter whether cinnamon, chocolate or hearty comfort foods are on the menu.
Mexican Harvest (Large Format, for 20 guests)
Ingredients
- 34 oz Partida Blanco
- 5 cups lemon sour mix*
- 5 cups pumpkin puree or pumpkin butter
- 2 Tbsp ground nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 750ml bottle of Prosecco
Instructions
Stir to combine all ingredients with ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, lemon wheel, and raisins.
*To make the lemon sour mix, boil equal parts lemon juice and sugar.
Spiced Old Fashioned
Ingredients
- 2oz Partida Añejo
- 2 bar spoons of maple syrup
- 2 slices of Fresno chillies
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters
Instructions
In a glass, muddle chilli slices, bitters, and maple syrup. Add ice, Partida Añejo, and stir well. Garnish with an orange peel and a chili slice.
Mexican Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 2oz Partida Añejo
- 6oz of your favourite hot chocolate
- ½ tsp ancho chilli powder
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions
Heat hot chocolate in a pot. When heated, add ancho chilli and ground cinnamon and stir until mixed. Pre-heat a mug with hot water; pour out the water, add spiced hot chocolate and Partida Añejo, and stir. Garnish with grated cinnamon and a cinnamon stick.
