Bar Convent is setting up a new event in the city in November, and 50 Best will announce the best bars in the world in the Lion City in October.
With all this in mind, we caught up with Yana, the head bartender at the world-renowned bar Atlas, to show us how to make The Occidental.
With an unrivalled gin collection, a glamorous art deco look, and impeccable service, Atlas is considered one of the best bars in the world.
The Occidental (from the bar’s new menu) is Yana’s take on a Martini featuring Bombay Sapphire, Limoncello, Mancino Bianco & Cocchi Americano.

- 60ml Bombay Sapphire
- 20ml Cocchi Americano
- 10ml Mancino Bianco
- 5ml Limoncello
- 2 dash Orange bitters
- 1 dash Black lemon bitter
Stir all ingredients in an ice-filled mixing glass, then strain into a chilled glass
Garnish with a Lemon twist and a sprig of Thyme
