The end of this week marks the start of the Patrón Perfectionists global competition finals.

Sixteen competitors will arrive at Hacienda Patrón to showcase their skills and experience a journey of discovery, taste and community.

But change is in the air this year, with the competition with Lauren Mote, the brand’s new Global Director of On-Trade Excellence, shining a light on the importance of education and mentoring in the tequila category.

We catch up with Mote, as she discusses the changes coming to this year’s competition.
